![]() To remove, or “un-pin,” app shortcuts from the Taskbar, right-click the unwanted app tile icon within the Taskbar and then select the “Unpin this program from taskbar” command within the pop up menu that appears. Once you have located the app tile, right-click it and then click the “Pin to taskbar” command within the options bar that appears at the bottom of the screen. ![]() To pin a program to the Taskbar, find the app tile for the app that you want to pin to the Taskbar either within the Start screen or within the “Apps” screen that you can access by clicking the downward-pointing arrow in the lower-left corner of the Start screen. This process is referred to as “pinning” programs to the Taskbar. You can add shortcuts to the Taskbar in Windows 8.1 so that you can have single-click access to the programs that you use most frequently.
